project 05c / SUPERFAST II

The Pax/Ro-Ro Cargo Superfast II was built at Schichau Seebeckwerft shipyard in Bermerhaven and delivered in 1995 to Superfast Ferries operator for cross-Adriatic services.
In 2003, she became the Spirit of Tasmania III sailing under TT-Line the Sydney to Devonport (Tasmania) route.
Eventually in 2006 she was bought by Corsica Ferries for sailing various routes between Italy, France to the islands of Corsica and Sardinia.

Ship main characteristics:
Displacement               19014 t
Length overall            173.70 m
Beam                                24 m
Max draft to DWL           6.41 m
Engines                  4 × Wärtsilä-Sulzer 12ZAV40S diesels
Power                     46332 BHP
Max speed                      27.3 kts

This is an only VS NG model, not VSF compatible, tested with version 9.9.6.

Main features:
- max speed 27.2 knots at 510 RPM,
- animated vizor and bow ramp [Anim0 or (control+A)],
- animated stern ramps [Gear or (shift+G)],
- adjusted docking points as well as anchor points,
- adjusted performance profile,
- exterior lighting effects:
    1/ cruise lighting= activate Anim1
2/ docking/berthing large lighting= complete the previous by activating mesh,       anchor and source lights features in lights panel.
- 3 animated and retractable flags [national, courtesy and house flags(tagged as  jib sails), a set of courtesy flags is provided in relation to the routes she has been sailing].

Both animations have been designed to allow the adjustment of ramps at the dock using the "pause animation" function available since VS NG version 9.8.8. [ hence the grouped animation of the 3 stern ramps].

Tips:
1/ currently with version 9.9.6,  if you launch the animations with the shortcut keys, the sound works, which isn't the case if you go through "vehicle parts" menu.
2/ when you don't need courtesy flag, simply erase sails2.xx file. When needed just copy the appropriate files from the folder "flags".

This file includes Chris Johnston's version of light.dds originally provided with his "Flatbed_V2" add-on.
It should be copied to the "graphics" folder [don't forget to make a backup copy of the original].
