project 10 / ketch ZITA

Zita is a fictional vintage yatch very much inspired by the yatch Styrr, an existing gaff rigged ketch built in the 1930s in Scotland, converted into a yacht in 1953 and still sailing.

Zita's main characteristics :
Displacement             115.61 t
Length overall            31.20 m
Water line                  24.46 m
Beam                           6.13 m
Max draft to DWL        2.70 m
Engines            2 RollsRoyce (1000-2600RPM)
Power              2x200 BHP

2 different sail configurations are available:

sails A = full sail (gaff sails, topmast staysails, fore stay-sail, outer jib, inner jib)
sails B = no topmast staysail, no inner jib

To install either option, simply copy all the files in the “sails A” or “sails B” folders and paste them into the main “ZITA” folder.

Naturally, there's no spinnaker, but the spinnaker control will cancel the jibs if you're under sail (to be avoided), but more interestingly, it will raise your flag, which is a very useful option when you're motoring or simply moored.

The model features 5 animations:

- lowering the dinghy (anim 1 or control+A)
- setting the gangway (anim 2)
- setting fenders on portside (anim 3)
- setting fenders on starboard (anim 4)
- sliding wheel house interior door (anim G or shift+G)

[nota bene: depending on whether you activate the animations with the ‘parts’ or ‘docking’ sub-menu, the numbering starts at 0 or 1]

For now only VSNG version is available. Another autonomous vehicle is included in Zita folder: her dinghy, to be installed separately.
