project 03c / LCU Mk9 "Black Pig"
LCU Mk9 landing craft was built for use on the LPD's HMS "Fearless" and "Intrepid" where they were operated from the dock in the rear of the ships.The Mk9 was capable of traveling as an Ocean going vessel and a number would be converted into a version, affectionatly known as the "Black Pig", for use in Norway by the Royal Marines. The crew had full living quarters aboard with galley and heads.

The VSF version features:
- genuine Volvo TAMD63P engine sound,
- max speed 10 knots at 2800 RPM, [speed controlled by perfomance profile]
- swinging cabin doors,
- animation (anim or control+A) of of the bow ramp,
- animation (gear or G) of the cargo hold with deployment of the"igloo",
- animated and retractable flag (tagged as a jib sail),
- adjusted docking points as well as anchor point,
- adjusted cargo points (8),
- azipod controls simulating the handling of pump jets, no reverse control,
- by default, the realistic trim when unloaded.
For those who prefer to navigate the boat without the corresponding trim when unloaded, just disable the feature by deleting or renaming the file "elements.cfg".
The compressed file includes:
- a set of cargoes to be used with the model. The files are to be placed in the "common" folder; the weight configurations are to be copied to the "manifest.txt" file also located in the "common" folder.
- Chris Johnston's version of light.dds originally provided with his "Flatbed_V2" add-on. It should be copied to the "graphics" folder [don't forget to make a backup copy of the original].
